PRAYERS AND ACTIONS BEYOND BOUNDARIES
with Gigi Coyle
June 5 - June 8
Prayers and Actions Beyond Boundaries
A Weekend for Community
June 5 (afternoon) to June 8 (midday)
Gigi Coyle and her partner, Win Phelps have been coming to Aegina and Oikia for many years, mentoring, teaching and offering Rites of Passage, Way of Council and best practices for community building.
This past year, in collaboration with Christina and Daphne, the space and vision holders of Oikia, Gigi offered a 3-day experience exploring peacemaking and peace keeping within and without. We shared story, song and movement, practices of council and mindfulness, deepening our connections with nature and bringing ceremony into our daily life.
How are we each part of the healing? Where are we to be and what is ours to do?
Through our time together we touched the importance of being current in our lives, as best we can be, prepared for all that is arising in us and in our world today.
This collective experience sparked a community building journey in Aegina and beyond. We will meet again this spring, some of the same peoples, along with a few newer ones, who feel called to move deeper into this community prayer and action spring.
Cost
Each will be asked to pay literal cost of food and offer “dana,” a financial gift to our guides and to the venue, according to their own means and heart.
Preparation
Includes a commitment to community as you define it, full participation during these days,(8 am to 21:00 for locals ), some experience or deep interest in circle or council ways and review of the websites, waysofcouncil.net, walking-water.org, livebeyondboundaries.net.
